For string players and pianists in BMus years 1-3, chamber music is assessed as part of the curriculum, whilst students from other departments regularly participate in collaborative chamber music projects. These are key areas as we develop the next generation of emerging talent for our industry and it is so important and critical to students development. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss legal issues in depth with expert tutors, work on problem questions together with enthusiastic and motivated peers, and learn about what it’s really like to study law at university. We’re here to give you support when you need us, care about the things you care about, and fight for you when need someone in your corner. The Law Summer School will sharpen your problem solving skills, hone your ability to identify weaknesses in an argument or body of evidence and give you the confidence to advocate for your position (in court or anywhere else).

All string players will be helped to form chamber music ensembles and will receive mentoring and coaching as well as regular opportunities to perform. We welcome newcomers for the first 3 weeks of each term, after this it is on a case by case basis depending on your previous experience as we’ll have started learning the pieces more and more by this stage.
