Admittedly, it becomes more difficult with the alleged "heart note of Bulgarian rose and orange blossom". With the fruits I can make myself a rose thoughtfully well together, but orange blossom is badly far-fetched, however, not far away from every imagination. In the course of time the oud in the M7 becomes even lighter and keeps its fine note on my skin for 6-7 hours without becoming really intrusive. Simply a masterly composition without corners and edges. The projection is OK. I would go as far as saying that it’s right up there with my favourite fragrances of all time, and I look forward to wearing this for years to come.

Oriental Unisex Fragrance

As I previously mentioned, Oud Intense has a strong concentration and good projection which makes it an easy target for over-application. You don’t want to turn this goddess into an aggressive, punch-in-the-face type of smell. The way this fragrance has a polished, smooth, and controlled oud really makes it much more likable than the oud usually is. Even if you are not a fan of oud-oriented scents, there is a high possibility that you will end up loving this one. However, the fragrance pyramid had one tiny little flaw: Saffron! Yes, saffron, supposedly the most valuable spice in the world (at least that's the common opinion among experts). I had never smelled this note in a fragrance before and therefore had no idea what it smells like. So I started to think about it a bit and had minimal doubts, but about this I will say another two words later... Gucci keeps its high quality oud fragrance very linear for 8-10 hours at a high level. It is a bit stronger and darker than the M7. But still round. The projection is GUT. For me personally this is the best Gucci fragrance for men! So if you're looking for a great oud scent - for "western noses" - you should try it (if not already done). The PLV is excellent and absolutely convincing; I was able to buy the 90ml bottle at Notino for 54€ [...]

I can easily picture a gentleman in a tuxedo, wearing this perfume to a prestigious event which says enough about the fragrance’s powerful composition. The nose behind this oud masterpiece is Aurelien Guichard, and he found the core of our wishes when crafting this luxurious fragrance.To most people, including me, Intense Oud came as a long-lasting, strong fragrance with good projection and enormous silage. Speaking truthfully, I was quite surprised. With its oud line, Gucci is contributing to the trend that is stirring up the perfume world. The valuable fragrance oud is obtained from the resin of the agarwood tree. Its smell is smoky and slightly acidic. In the Oud Intense Eau de Parfum (90ml) the penetrating olfactory effect has a somewhat oriental effect with an emphasis on the smoky, coarse components. This creates a very dry, intense perfume. It is officially designed as a unisex fragrance. However, this variant with leather and incense can be too distinctive and heavy for women. The basic variant, the Gucci Oud Eau de Parfum, on the other hand, has significantly sweeter components. Tart And Spicy Conclusion: For me personally, the Gucci Oud Intense has won. Even if the fragrance composition of the M7 is perhaps more refined, it has something more valuable for me. You notice the outstanding quality of the ingredients. The oud just smells wonderful.

In the further course the fragrance shows its great class! The saffron, a bit unpleasant for my nose, fades after only a few minutes and the fruity and delicious combination of pear&raspberry is added. Because of the rose and orange blossom the fragrance becomes slightly floral-sweet almost in the same breath, which I like very much. Patchouli as well as amber provide the woody touch, but the oud note is in the foreground here and is mMn predominant. In summary, one can say that this oud scent is a young, slightly fresh and tart oud scent, which is very suitable for the masses and has a straight line. The wearer doesn't have to be dressed in a suit. Here a shirt, a chic sweater or a polo shirt is enough. It is also suitable for all those who are looking for a very strong, but not extreme autumn-winter scent. I have a shelf life of between 8-10 hours and it is perceptible almost to the end at one meter. The bottle also fits. It is nobly worked and appears valuable. Priced my clear favorite. It costs between 75-90 Euro for 90ml, no other house can keep up. For me therefore a clear 10.

When & Where To Wear Gucci Intense Oud

Overall, if you’re a fan of oud fragrances then Gucci Intense Oud is definitely one of the safest blind buys you can make. Very unique mass appealing oud, that will most certainly get you a ton of compliments! How Long Does Gucci Intense Oud Last? In 2018, Gucci released Gucci Guilty Oud for which the audience had very high hopes (led by the Gucci Intense Oud) but in my opinion, those two fragrances have nothing in common and I wouldn’t even compare them since the Intense Oud masterpiece would blow away the Guilty version. From the very first spray, GIO is strong and woody (reminiscent of cedar and sandalwood), with a deep and richly layered character. Spicy notes touch and permeate this gorgeous scent, with dry, smoky smoldering incense accenting the ambery oud that is very noticeable (but not excessively so). Ambergris adds a slightly animalic twist to GIO that points to well-crafted, thoughtful nature of this oud-based EdP. Leather is quite subtle, neither taking away from nor augmenting the fragrance appreciably. It could be considered an all rounder, but I think it works it’s best on evenings, especially in the colder seasons.

As I mentioned, I find the scent more masculine than feminine but if you are a lady that loves smoky, leathery scents then you have nothing to worry about. Is Gucci Intense Oud Discontinued? To answer the ultimate question; do I think that Intense Oud Gucci is the best oud fragrance of designer’s houses? Yes, Intense Oud Gucci is definitely one of the best (if not the best) oud fragrances by the designer’s house. In the final dry-down, it reaches its full potential and evolves into a rich, elegant, smooth, and stunning ambery-oud scent that is just incredible. Aurelien Guichard really managed to pull this one off to smell as niche as possible. What amazed me the most is how the oud that is used is very professionally controlled, it is a polished, smooth, and rich type of oud that you don’t really expect from designer’s houses. Can’t say enough good words about the quality and level-expertise when it comes to fragrance composition.

I would wear Gucci Intense Oud on a night out, or even a night in. It feels like a luxury scent and definitely one more suited to the evening.
