She has appeared in films such as 40 Pounds of Trouble (1962), Wives and Lovers (1963), and Horatio Alger Jones (TV-1966). She has also appeared in the television series Harris Against the World (1964-1965).

According to the blurb for Patch Work - A Life Amongst Clothes, author Claire Wilcox has been employed as a curator for the Victoria and Albert Museum for most of her working career. Since visiting the Victoria and Albert Museum in London in 2018, I've followed their social media channel and enjoy the behind the scenes curator videos on offer from Museum of London and the Victoria and Albert Museum. One of the squirrels chatter, the elk looks up at it, then sees us, and freezes. It pauses and assesses, its eyes still, brown and round. We are all motionless. We are radiating stars of goodness, I think. I revel in the shared silence. It's a new feeling. It seems like the goal of all this is to let our thoughts just come and go, observing them, detached. But thoughts are useful, aren't they? Not all of our impulses should be ignored, right? Like, what if there's a fire or something while we're mediating?" Unfortunately after the first chapter, I felt somewhat let down. The book is a miscellany of stories but the stories about the authors life were not actually very interesting, they were very superficial, there was little detail, they weren’t presented chronologically and any attempt at thematic grouping didn’t really flow. As so much is made of the fact that she works at the V&A, I expected so much more. Finally, the gong rings. The yogis stand, bodies shift, clothes rustle, the yogis cough. Me, I stay seated on my cushion, wanting to bathe in it all for a little while longer. My body is alive and wild, and for the moment I give it permission to take me on a joy ride.

I want to thank everybody who’s been involved, everyone at PEN, everybody who loves books, all the writers I admire – I think of this great legacy of language we all share and I’m immensely touched and honoured. Thank you.’ Patch Work - A Life Amongst Clothes by Claire Wilcox is a memoir told in very short chapters threaded through with the tools of the author's trade as a senior curator. Listening to the audiobook, the content felt personal and very much a private project for her friends and family rather than a resource for readers interested in her work, the work of the V&A Museum, or those motivated to pursue a career in her field. I'm sitting outside the teacher's office waiting for our second one-on-one. A woman is sobbing inside. Kate's behind schedule, and I'm grateful for it, because I still don't know what to talk about.Wilcox stands at an average height, she has not shared her height with the public. Her height will be listed once we have it from a credible source. Is Claire Wilcox married? I think this is probably a classic example of a book that doesn’t work as an e-book. As a glossy coffee table tome with stunning pictures for somebody to dip in & out of it may work, but it’s not a book to read from. I also think that the “blurb” needs to be amended to reduce the focus on the V&A curator! If she ever writes a book more focussed on the V&A collection, the textiles, preservation, analysis etc I will be very interested as I did like her writing style! Details about her love life are still under review. We will let you know when she gets in a relationship or when we discover helpful information about her love life. How much is Claire Wilcox worth? Obviously not the only reason. A knife twists in my gut. I watch the nausea rise, and wish the meditation was done. It feels like I'm shielding myself from something. That would be a fascinating book indeed, but this wasn't it. I wanted to learn more about the author's career as a curator, and instead I learned more about the author herself.
