Description

Vodka is my drink of choice and this one is one of the few I would drink straight, kind of scares me. A slowly stirred 3 or 4 to 1 Ratio of Luskusowa to vermouth with a 1-2 dashes of a good bitter and lemon zest yields a wonderfully viscous martini.

All my friend usally need chasers after taking shots of other vodkas, but they dont after I made them try Luksusowa. In 1999, when the Polmos brands, distilleries and compoundaries were privatised the brand was bought by Polmos Zielona Góra in Western Poland. The sweetener of Lumberjacks, traditionally Maple syrup was mixed with coffee or tea and drunk whilst working in the woods.I've been drinking it for since the mid 90's and converted a many vodka drinkers to this fine spirit! v=1698949132","options":["size"],"media":[{"alt":null,"id":36250240254265,"position":1,"preview_image":{"aspect_ratio":0. Due to serious allergies because of chronic mold problems in a previous rental residence, aged spirits or those containing significant yeast, mold, or congeners often make me feel ill after drinking, so vodka is the alcoholic spirit of choice for me when I want to indulge.

Potatoes naturally contain many more impurities grains, therefore, producing a pristine vodka whilst retaining the more valuable characteristics of the potatoes takes a great deal of time and experience. While I am a relatively young drinker and my palate has yet to be fully refined, experience is not nescessary to know this is perhaps one of the best vodkas out there. This is one of the few vodkas made with potatoes – which contrary to popular prejudice (particularly vociferous among Russians for some reason) – is a premium ingredient for vodka. I don't have much experience with vodka, but this is an exceptional brand, regardless of the deceptive pricing. The first sip brings a wave of tangy, juicy notes on a *very* thick body, with a powerful yet relatively inoffensive burn. On swirling, it leaves a thin clear coat on the inside of the glassforming a crenellated edge with some legs and lots of small droplets – this seems to be a familiar pattern with potato vodka. My favorite is 100ML Luksusowa Vodka, 400ML cranberry or cherry juice and 100 ML of acidic based drink (Lemons, limes, oranges. Worth to mention that on top of its superior taste, when drank in moderation in relation to my proportions (6' 0" , 210 Lb), I suffer no hangover whatsoever. I'd like to do a blind taste test between this and Absolut and see if people that like Absolut could determine between the two as this is very similar.

By the 18th century the wealthier noble families of Poland regarded their potato vodka, Luksusova (meaning luxury), in the same manner that the French regard a great Burgundy. I get a double sized bottle of this brilliant vodka and still pay less than a 750 ml of Stoli's, goose, or belvedere! Try it with the brine from pickled beetroots: a most noble Polish vegetable, a real taste of Poland!

After speaking with a friend who'd spent time living in eastern europe, he informed me that potato vodka was highly regarded as the best type. With about 1/3 less yield per kilo and a lot more prep work to ferment and distill, it makes for a difficult and expensive undertaking. A modern take on the beloved Old Fashioned, dusted off and fitted a bit tighter for the stylish young man.

Regarding Chopin, I have yet to finish the other three before I open the most expensive of the bunch. The bouquet shows clean, mellow aromas of pastry dough and sweet cream with a silky dry-yet-fruity medium body with very delicate dried fruit, custard, and spice notes and a long, creamy, and gently warming pepper and mineral finish. Luksusowa Vodka ( Polish: Wódka luksusowa) is a brand of vodka from Poland that is distilled from potatoes. I think I prefer the flavor of Grey Goose a little more, but this potato vodka gave me fewer problems with indigestion.I mean maybe your saying its the best out of the worst cheap vodka, but if your saying that its just flat out good its not. a smooth, clean vodka with a nice bite off the bat to give it some character, finihes smooth as polish'ed glass.
