Hi Paul, I upgraded my Rigid bandsaw with the Kregg fence some time back and have since added the micro adjuster. When assembling the fence, it's essential for the parts to be flush and square, because any inconsistencies will be reflected in the parts cut with the fence. The tooth setting was affected as well, causing the blade to drift upwards since it stopped cutting below the center of the kerf.

i also wonder if you have an issue with the bearings below the table in that they cant be moved back behind the teeth gullets when using 1/2 blades and smaller .

Delta Engineers were thoughtful of blade removal, with blade removal slot in the 3 o’clock position, no need to cut through the fence travel guide. I usually just clamp a piece of wood for a fence when I need it, but the magnetic fence sounds like a great idea. I added a hardwood rail to the back of the table that supports the fence beyond the bandsaw table, adding to the rip capacity. Often this is to save disputes as to who’s cattle or sheep are on who’s land, who’s kids are in who’s yard, and who’s dog is making what mess on who’s lawn. Once I had had the table modified by adding a flat bar to the front edge, deep enough to allow for the fixing, all was well.

The Kreg Precision Band Saw Fence easily adjusts to your blades drift angle to provide you with a new level of band saw accuracy. This fence adjusts both for blade drift and perpendicularity to the blade (essential when cutting thin veneers). I don’t even think in fractions of an inch and convert most common fractions into a decimal number and the ones I don’t know offhand I go to my calculator.

Since I set the saw up according to a standard set of steps each time I change the blade, I can use the front of the saw's table as a reference point for distance from the blade when resawing. This fence mounts to most 14 inch (356mm) band saws right out of the box and can be modified to fit many others by drilling a single hole in the aluminium mounting rail. I also own a vintage Startrite 14″ bandsaw that has the simplest fence of any I’ve seen and used and it is rock solid, removes in a split second, and takes up the smallest amount of room betwixt blade and column. To ensure accurate fitment and smooth movement of timber, the table extension features fine-adjustment mechanisms to allow the extension to be fitted perfectly flush to the table. Only issue I found was the 2 nylon slotted screws, used to adjust the leveling of the fence, protrude about ,015″.
