To put this case through its cooling paces we will be using a test system consisting of an Intel Core i9-12900K, RTX 3080 and an SSD. This is an interest bearing credit option that allows you to delay payments over a set period of time. In the front of the case, behind that wonderful mesh front, are three 120mm fully addressable RGB fans. Your big Noctua NH-D15 will not fit, though most mid-sized coolers will; our Noctua U12s fit just fine.

We have seen a similar approach from a number of other companies, however Phanteks integrates the fans into their own lighting system that can either be controlled through the hardware buttons on the case or through your motherboard software. In fact any Phanteks A-RGB accessory can be daisy chained into the system and all of them controlled by the buttons at the top front. To accomplish this, they have achieved a remarkable design that allows a high degree of flexibility. Three integrated 120 mm D-RGB fans on the front ensure a good supply of fresh air for your hardware.The design of the Eclipse G360A combined with the D-RGB LED strip on the PSU cover allows to build beautiful builds with very good cooling performance. There are three open ports on to the side of the fans that can be used for cable routing and these keep your fan and RGB cables out the main chamber of the case. This isn’t necessarily a drawback, as it allows the manufacturer to save costs without sacrificing rigidity or function. We’ve updated our testing hardware to use Intel’s 12 Gen “Alder Lake” platform, which has shaken up the desktop landscape (and taken prominent spots on our best CPUs for gaming list).

You can mount up to a 360mm radiator at the front either behind the fans, or by moving the fans to the inside of the brackets, you can fit a radiator just behind the mesh as I’ve shown in the photos.All the D-RGB elements are pre-connected out of the box, and you may connect generic ARGB lighting to the built-in controller as there is an appropriate cable. Phanteks has a history of delivering value and performance with its cases, as evidenced by the Eclipse P360A that’s been our favorite budget ATX gaming case for well over a year. During my initial disassembly of the case, I was happy to see that the tempered glass side panel features captive thumbscrews.
