About this deal

It'll be on out blog in the next day, with so many reviews, we actually are all booked up for a while. For my second and final Pirates of the Caribbean review, I'll be taking a closer look at 4183: The Mill. He absolutely loves the Pirates of the Caribbean series so this was a great addition too the rest of his Pirates Legos. The minifigures also provide playability, so you can reenact that epic three-way duel in Dead Man's Chest. Please keep in mind that I did not use stickers on my set, so what you see here may differ from what the box shows.

Having numbered bags seems just a little nonsensical for a set this size, especially since some of the builds combine more than one bag. Notch Developments AB, MINECRAFT is a trademark of Notch Developments AB, MOJANG is a trademark of Mojang AB. This Jack looks okay, though not super, and Norrington looks great - and I really like Hadras, the refugee from the Atlantis sets. The wheel also spins, but you can balance swordfighting minifigs on top of it as long as you're careful to place them so they keep the wheel in equilibrium. I've built four of the new Pirates of the Caribbean sets, and it seems to me that that only the sets from On Stranger Tides include trading cards. First, there are a few of those 1x4 round plates in gold (a new piece if I'm not mistaken), as well as a neat 1x2 tile in dark brown.

It's a bit cramped, as the structure obviously isn't as big as the one in the film, but it is playable. One side of the mill is a bell tower, which has a zip line -- a minifig can grab the handle of one end of a rope, and the other end is tied to a bell weight, which can drop, pulling the minifig upwards. Seriously, you could add on as much as you wanted to this set to reenact the scene from the film to the fullest extent.THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY and the names of the characters, items, events and places therein are trademarks of The Saul Zaentz Company d/b/a Middle-earth Enterprises under license to New Line Productions, Inc. Finally, TLG was kind enough to include a fourth figure, one with far less significance in the film but still a nice addition. Both were pretty mangled in my box, but its nothing an hour or two underneath a heavy book can't fix.

However I think the level of detail the figures have make up for it slightly, as they are just gorgeous. BrickEconomy, the BrickEconomy logo and all content not covered by The LEGO Group's copyright is, unless otherwise stated, ©2024 BrickEconomy. It's a nice build, easy to do but the wheel gets a bit repetitive because of the number of sections you have to build.I was very skeptical about the interior and the patchiness of the building when I saw the first pictures of it. Regarding the lack of playing card, thanks Santhor and colethegeek, I hadn't noticed it was just for On Stranger Tides sets. You get two copies of the key, and they are attached to a sprue like the Atlantis flippers or the gold coins are. I have noticed, though, that the only sets that come with the card are the sets related to POTC: On Stranger Tides. Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Admiral Norrington are dueling to the death when the mill wheel suddenly shakes loose and sends the sword fight spinning out of control!
