I’m glad that the fragrance didn’t break me in the beginning because it is an incredible dry, aromatic, leathery, aldehidic, myrrh monster that exudes power, competence and dominance! But I can say this much - every time I somehow catch a whiff, I am immediately transported back to the hallways of St. You cannot express your love for "Aramis" because it exists only to crush you like an emotionless Captain Ivan Drago. No matter how manly you think you are, "Aramis" will reduce you to little more than Uncle Joey doing his woodchuck impression for an audience of petulant pre-schoolers.

Unfortunately, today's version has been watered down to a greater extent - but it still has its characteristic, recognizable the smell just doesn't have such a monstrous strength anymore. I find that after 30 to 40 minutes it stays relatively close to the skin so I would say sillage is very average but longevity is good, I generally get 6 to 8 hours of wear out of it. But I could also immediately link this backwards in time to Chant's beautiful 1959 green leather fragrance for women for Gres, Cabochard, which is also like Chant's later Azurée.My impression is that this is a distorted/simplified/weaker (and "sticky" too) formulation than one from not that long ago that I own. I have personally witnessed 90-pound weaklings at the beach spray "Aramis" on their chests; within minutes, chest hair is spewing out of their pores like a spaghetti maker. Old man fragrance" is a cliché; a truly 'dated' composition would be one insufficient in quality or artistic merit to shine through the patina of cliché. I get the same feeling with Chanel Antaeus, and these two perfumes stands from now on as a pair of fabolous twins on the perfume shelf.

Aramis eau de toilette spray for men is a woody and aromatic perfume, o Next, you use Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone as billy clubs in a street brawl against Mike Tyson (you win). I go away from this from time to time and try to work through my many other fragrances, but every time I come back I recognise all over again that I am in the presence of history.

For light intensity: spray in a cloud around your head and shoulders, let the fragrance fall gently around you. The current state of Aramis is pleasant just like before and you will get enjoyment from it for sure, you just need to spray more frequently and I suggest that you apply it on your clothes as the body heat will make it go base much sooner.
