These are fortified and then 'aromatised' by infusing with botanicals including gentian, cinchona and citrus zest as in the classic bianco version, but with the addition of ginger and rose petals. Cocchi Americano Rosa is a blend of two aromatic grape varieties, Brachetto and Malvasia, herbs, fruits and spices. Giulio Cocchi founded his business in the North Western Italian town of Asti in 1891 when, as a young pastry chef, he became fascinated with the pairing of food and wine.
