About this deal

In a world where greed rules and everything else is just an annoyance we see 4 members of an elite investment banking team embarking on an escape room challenge that they have been told is compulsory by their employers. Goldin opts for her characters to give voice to the pivotal moments, rather than allowing readers to experience them firsthand.

They will allow us to play the role of a secret spy, or become the most famous master of riddles - Sherlock! This is a fantastic adventure that drives you on through the sheer need to know what happens next and how Ami and her friends get out of the escape room – or do they fail? This book won't win any literary awards and it certainly won't change your life, but if you're looking for an absorbing read with a unique plot featuring despicable people that get their just deserts, then this is the book for you. When twelve-year-old Ami arrives at The Escape, she thinks it's just a game - the ultimate escape room with puzzles and challenges to beat before time runs out. It provides hours of entertainment for avid escape room and gaming fans, and can be enjoyed individually or in teams. Maar ik vind het verhaal voor de doelgroep van 10+ wel erg complex in elkaar zitten, ik kan me voorstellen dat er lezers in verwarring achterblijven, en dat vind ik wel jammer.

None of them could have ever anticipated the dangerous scenarios they would soon be put in or just how far their strengths and fragile new bonds would be tested. I love a good puzzle, and this is many many good puzzles wrapped up in a series of challenging escape rooms. We also use them to help detect unauthorized access or activity that violate our terms of service, as well as to analyze site traffic and performance for our own site improvement efforts. Whether by accident or by design, things happen that put all four people in jeopardy of losing their lives if they don't escape or get rescued before they die.The second follows the four bankers who end up in an escape room as some sort of team building exercise. The story is told from two perspectives and works really well as the reader is kept entertained throughout.

The result is that more time is spent working out which clues go together than actually solving the puzzles. As the dark secrets of the team are revealed, viciously pitting the colleagues against one another, they find themselves removed from their normal boardroom backstabbing and thrust into a definitive game of survival. If you find yourself in a situation like that, then u can tell for sure that the Escape room was prepared patiently and someone invested a lot of time and thoughts into it. Ami arrives at the The Escape eager for a new escape room experience and, hopefully, some new friends to puzzle out the clues with. This fast-paced adventure is full of twists and turns, and some seriously tough puzzles for readers to try and work out. It is hard to go into too much detail without giving anything away, however this was a thoroughly enjoyable read and I have no doubt that children in my class will devour it.
