About this deal

As I said though, I have not really read them and do not know Mr Slemen, though from what I have heard his books are enjoyable. There are now over twenty books in Tom Slemen's Haunted Liverpool series and that's not counting his books about Jack The Ripper, Vampires or Murders on Merseyside to name a few.

Every culture has believed in ghosts at one time or another: Buddha trained himself to overcome fear by sitting in a haunted cemetry. Zozzaby makes a chilling reappearance in this book, which is in paperback and Kindle format (I bought the Kindle version). Go grab a cuppa tea and have a read of one of Tom's stories like A High-Class Vampiress, The Coffin, The Clown, or Bloody Mary. The failed Liverpool comedian who was possessed by a long-dead occultist who read minds - even the minds of killers. The girl who experienced terrifying glimpses of the future whenever she slept with a certain pink pillow under her head. The tremendous response from the public is confirmation of a widespread fascination with the paranormal. In Haunted Liverpool, take a spine-chilling journey along city's streets and meet Spring-Heeled Jack, the Penny Lane Poltergeist, Bernie with the broken neck, the Grey Lady of Grove Street and many other spooky characters and unearthly beings. The pages of this book are crammed with crazy characters - some sad, some mad, and some downright bad - but all with a supernatural connection. Tom Slemen also documents many more timeslip mysteries and looks at the account of two men who built a working time machine. By completing your purchase, you agree to Audible's Conditions of Use and authorise Audible to charge your designated card or any other card on file.

In this exceptional audiobook, you will hear about Liverpool’s mysterious third cathedral - dedicated to Mother Nature - which appears and disappears in the mists of time, and you will also encounter a timid man who was possessed by the spirit of an ancient king via an antique chess set. Absouloutly love the haunted Liverpool series and must say I have every book and audio book I think Toms ever written. Favourite stories: The Ghost Rider of Aintree, Albert Dock Apparitions, The Rodney Street Spectre, The Haunted Fire Station, The Witches of Castle Street, Cannibal Captain, The City in the Sky, The Ghost of Wellington Avenue, Possession, The Ghosts of Walton Jail, The Strange Story of Spring-Heeled Jack, The Runcorn Thing, Devon Street’s Reformed Gambler, The Peeping Tom, A Picture of Evil, Whispers from a Death Mask, The Face at the Window, The Clock Watcher, The Lighthouse Ghoul, Forces Are Moving Me, The Invitation, The Lost Family, Don’t Look Under The Bed. Narrator Norman Gilligan's voice is perfect for this series, refined, understated and uniquely British. Best story has to be the one illustrated on the cover - two kids in Norris Green wander downstairs in the middle of the night for a drink, only to find the unplugged tv showing a black and white horror film involving two clowns.I've never heard of this author but he sounds like someone who's content I would love to read if he's all about the paranormal. This is the first in a long series of volumes which Tom Slemen has collated concerning ghost stories and weird happenings from the Merseyside area.
