The espresso maker itself is an important part of the whole of course, but it's not the be-all and end-all when it comes to the overall Espresso quality – the grind is hugely important. We offer a number of extras to enhance your brewing experience, including an extra portafilter to brew consecutive shots without cleaning first and a temperature strip for improved heat management.

Has good weight where it needs it (in the portafilter / coffee area), and decent "beef" to the other parts where needed.

Features the PRO 2 Brew Head with a 70ml reservoir and a stainless steel portafilter that accepts 16-24 grams.

Rok wins for ease of use, clean up after each shot, and espresso quality in terms of how quickly I was able to start making great shots of Espresso with Rok vs how long it took me to achieve the same with Flair. Brew with the spout in to reduce any mess from wayward espresso sprays, or remove the spout and brew bottomless to see your extraction and to help you dial-in your grind.It’s been through a few iterations and a name change since it was launched in 2005 as the Presso Espresso Machine. I think either Rok or Flair is a great coffee maker to have either for home (as long as you're happy heating and frothing your milk via other methods, or if you don't drink milkies), and/or for making espresso while travelling. Other commenters have mentioned the quality of the portafilter of the ROK and I have to agree its low quality.

I finally got through to one of their retailers who told me it’s been discontinued, and who didn’t have anyone to contact to even check! This design also means the Flair PRO 2 can pack into an included, precision cut carrying case, meaning you can take your espresso anywhere you’d like.

As capable as any of the later models, the Flair Classic is designed to produce quality espressos at that perfect pressure between 6-9 bars, and its so portable that you can enjoy it wherever you are! When I first looked at the bits in the case, it looked a bit intimidating in terms of how many bits there are and how much figuring out I may have to do – I may even have to resort to reading the instructions?
