About this deal

Every week, James O'Brien enlists the help of LBC listeners to solve the questions you've always wondered the answer to. The objective is to get the other players to believe your own false answers to gain maximum points, while answering questions correctly yourself.

And as you say, your latest release is based on LBC radio host James O’Brien’s show, The Mystery Hour. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. There's one thing that's sure - you will know more by the time you've finished a game of the Mystery Hour board game than you do now! Please ensure you have read and understood our Privacy Policy and our Prize Provider’s Privacy Policy before entering any Promotion. And even if you’ve seen them all, you would need to be something akin to Rainman to retain every factoid the game has to offer. Psyching an opponent out by claiming you know an answer for 3 points before hearing the options (even though you don’t) can work in your favour at critical points in the game. One point is scored if a player gets the correct answer, having heard both the correct and false answers (a 50:50 chance). Entry into the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions.

The objective of the game is to convince other players with a plausible false answer, while answering other players’ questions correctly. In accordance with Clause 19 below, in these circumstances, we reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion. Each player is encouraged to look through the cards they have been dealt, familiarise themselves with the text on each card and think up their own false answers (if they wish) before the game begins.

We’re thrilled to take all LEGO and board game fans on this gaming journey, combining the LEGO Group’s timeless creativity with our passion and expertise in board games,” said Birgitte Bülow, leader of the LEGO board game creation team at Asmodee. Mystery Hour is no longer only available one hour a week - play with your friends and family whenever you want! James is a champion for us and although the world is hard, having a sense of humour helps us get through. If nothing else, this would serve as the closest thing to James O’Brien himself giving you a robust dressing down live on air for ringing in with an uninformed answer which cannot be substantiated and which you refuse accept as incorrect. We may publish and publicise your name, your nearest geographical location (for example, your nearest city, town or county) and your entry, and we may refer to your association with the Promotion and/or the prize, in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, for publicity and PR purposes solely in connection with the Promotion.Replayability is always a consideration before deciding to invest time and money in any board game and I can hear the inevitable cries re how much worth the game will have once all the cards have been revealed. Exchange - Normally exchanges are completed within 1-2 working days but we will always let you know of a delay. If you request that your personal details be removed prior to the conclusion of a Promotion, you will forfeit your right to enter the Promotion and/or claim any prize and we reserve the right to select another entrant to participate in the Promotion or withdraw the prize and select another winner, as applicable.

For a start, all of the question cards could be quite easily distributed before dinner to allow players to invent clever false answers in good time. Our group of three were keen not to let these early setbacks dampen our expectations of the game, and we were subsequently pleased with the quick set up and speedy explanation of the rules. We then engaged with a socially-responsible EU manufacturer, who provide a work place for people with disabilities for the final assembly process. Mystery Hour is no longer only available one hour a week - play with your friends and family whenever you want. Every week, James O\'Brien enlists the help of LBC listeners to solve the questions you\'ve always wondered the answer to. The James O’Brien Mystery Hour Game features 250 questions – like ‘Why don’t Cadbury Flakes melt in the microwave?
