About this deal

Locale II “seems to interpenetrate our physical world, yet spans limitless reaches beyond comprehension”. When he found himself spontaneously going out of his body, he had no way of understanding what was happening to him and his first assumption was that there was something wrong with his brain. Lo único que no me gustó, y es algo súper humano y cobardón, es que hay cosas que cuenta que me dieron miedo.

Claro que esta es una suposición propia, ya que el autor solo se limita a contar su experiencia a través de notas. I had imagined that learning about out of body experiences would be empowering and uplifting but parts of Munroe’s account didn’t really leave me feeling that way. When, unpredictably and against his will, Robert Monroe began to have out-of-body experiences, he was frightened and disbelieving. The areas of Locale II “nearest” the physical world are peopled mostly with insane or near-insane, emotionally driven beings.

I believe the vow is "until death do we part" not "until I gain the ability to leave my body and travel to Locale Two. For the curious, this is the book to get the best description of what people are talking about when they talk about OBE (Out of Body) or NDE (Near Death Experiences. Since they can’t happen, most scientists do not bother to read the evidence indicating that they do happen; hence, not having read the evidence, their belief in the impossibility of such phenomena is reinforced. I found it quite fascinating, even though it is much different from Moody's and Eadie's books, in that it is not concerned so much with death and the spiritual aspects of OOBEs. Their cars are much larger, even the smallest having a single bench seat that will hold 5-6 people abreast.

It seems like a good fragment of one’s seeking journey as long as it isn’t taken as a singular source of truth. Robert later went on to found the Monroe Institute, one of the the leading authorities of out of body experiences in the world today. They asked me questions that I don't remember but I still remember the looks on their faces like they couldn't believe the door was unlocked, as if they had never seen it happen before.

A persuasive and thought-provoking account of one man's experiences and experiments with traveling outside his own body. There was very little written about the subject at the time Robert began having these experiences and the phrase "out-of-body experience" didn't even exist yet. This consciously left his sleeping self at night and explored not only what we term our third dimensional world, but also spiritual, non physical realities which defied rational explanation. Multiple variables were kept track of for each astral projection experience, including the method of separation, the position of physical during separation, elapsed time of journey, and etc.I'm not sure I can go back into the book and easily find a story that I want to read again, because it's not really organized into categories. Some of his voyages to me suggested another plane where we're all unconsciously conversing with one another. The definitive work on the extraordinary phenomenon of out-of-body experiences, by the founder of the internationally known Monroe Institute.
