All songs include individual stories of love between two individuals who will inevitably be taken away from each other after their beautiful time together. The reason for their separation varies from song to song, for instance a man having to kill his lover due zombies biting her (“Early Sunsets over Monroeville”) or a man killing his lover on their wedding day in a drug-fueled haze (“Drowning Lessons”). That band was My Chemical Romance, and their debut LP, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, was the first step in a musical career unlike anything we’d ever seen before. Honey This Mirror Isn't Big Enough For The Two Of Us, 15/10- This was the first song I heard on Bullets, and it is definitely one of my favorites on here. I love how "screamy" it is. c: I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love is often regarded as a concept album. It involves two Bonnie and Clyde-esque characters who are eventually gunned down in the desert. On My Chemical Romance's next album, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (2004), the unnamed man supposedly then finds himself in purgatory, where he makes a deal with Satan: his hellbound lover for the souls of a thousand evil men. He is then resurrected and sent on his gruesome task. It is a much different world we live in today since the release of this independant record, where five odd-ball geeks with an obsession with horror movies and comic books made an album of pure punk agression and weird eighties indie overtones. Emo meant Thursday and not Fall Out Boy, and Gerard Way was a cherubic frontman with a bad haircut and a resemblance to Bily Corgan. Early Sunsets Over Monroeville, 10/10- One of my other favorites on this album, I love how deep the lyrics get when you get even farther into the song, it starts so happy sounding, then... It gets somewhat morbid. I love it. :PDisc is PERFECT. Totally scratchless whatsoever, which is an incredible feat considering I have bought new CDs sealed only to find that they have minute scratches from the factory. Amazed by the quality of a used CD for an 18 year old record.

Finally, Way made another Houdini reference when he announced MCR broke up. He posted a picture of the magician, once again in his hanging position, alongside his written-out explanation of said break up – and some outlets have speculated that it was a reference to him “escaping” the band on the brink of death after certain pressures related to the band led him to substance abuse.
