About this deal

Nov 20 From the U.S. to Japan, You Can Control the Life-Size Moving Gundam from the Comfort of Your Own Home Once upon a time, I watched the anime adaptation of Orange, and it was said by many that it was a poorly made work and how the manga was way superior. Knowing that the manga is pretty short, I decided to find out just how good the manga is. I have LOVED all of Naho and Kakeru's friends and found great joy (tied in with sadness) in seeing a variety of situations from their perspectives. Since the main series is from Naho's perspective (excluding the previous volume since it's from Suwa's), it was refreshing and moving to see how much Kakeru's friends also deeply cared for him, not just Naho. It reminded me of why I loved the series and how this isn't a girl-saves-boy story (though I do confess those vibes felt stronger in this one since we also get Kakeru's perspective) and is more of a group of loving friends coming together to help their hurting friend and see him smile once more. There was even more emphasis on how Kakeru can talk to ANY of them about anyTHING and deeply loved that. It reminded me that when I'm hurting, I can always (and should!) reach out to those around me because we are all more loved than we realized. <3 By the time we reached the ending, which is unfortunately, a pretty standard happy one, there is literally nothing to be rejoiced about, nothing to be cheery about, really, what is the point about all this?

Digital goods, open DVDs and Blu-rays, smart art prints, mystery bundles, and final sale items are excluded from the return policy.

Despite that I was nervous about how this ending would unfold, I found I really enjoyed this volume overall! When Naho received a letter from her future self, it told her she needed to save the life of a boy in her class, Kakeru. At first Naho had to shoulder this burden alone, until her friends stepped in with their own revelations! Beyond the journey of Naho and Kakeru, what happens next for Naho's friends, now that they're living in this brand-new timeline?

Interest Stacks

Overall, this is a moving and very heartfelt ending that while at times leaves your heart heavy, it also fills you with deep hope and how we all have value and deserve happiness. Definitely recommend if you love the series Orange! Enough with the art, another major factor to make a successful romance drama is to have great characters, which the reader can connect or sympathize with, so that we would root for them, and cheer when they finally got together.
