About this deal

While the book saga is called The Sword of Truth the tv series producers decided to call their adaptation The Legend of the Seeker. It is similar to what happens to George R.R Martin’s work, whose adaptation of his series (A Song of Ice and Fire) was titled as the first book: Game of Thrones. Is it correct to call this series The Legend of The Seeker books then? I wasn't entirely sure when I requested Seeker if I was going to like it, since it was clear there was gonna be a love triangle, but it sounded like a very interesting fantasy so I decided to give it a try! For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 ESV

This series center on Richard Cypher, a woods guide whose life will change after becoming the Seeker of Truth. As a seeker, Richard will have to search for the truth and act upon it. Along with him will travel Kahlan Amnell, a Confessor seeking the First Wizard and Zeddicus Zu’l Zorander, a powerful wizard. A Seeker of TruthAnyway, this review is gonna be short because good lawd. I may have read the book but I did NOT know what was going on. Albiniak, Paige (December 11, 2008). " 'Deal', 'Doctors', 'Bonnie' Grow Throughout Sweeps". Broadcasting & Cable . An advance copy of this novel was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. My thoughts are my own. Can we all collectively agree that love triangles involving your third cousin will NOT be the latest YA trend? "Quinn, we're only third cousins, you know?" In this book we have Quin who has undergone years of training to become what she thought was a very noble and honorable position, a Seeker. She later discovers that her skills were going to be used in a less than noble manner. For years she was lied to and no one appears as they seem. Quin sets out to make things right as she travels to many places in very magical ways. An invitation to dinner at the house of local businessman Matthew Pullan lifts the lid on the bubbling cauldron of grudges and resentment that is Faithly village. The local constable, drunk on the tiny bit of power he holds, using it to avenge old resentments. The hated lord of the manor, the last of a staunchly Royalist family who has managed to avoid suspicion of treachery - for now. The vicar on trial for his job and his home, accused of ungodly acts. And the Pullans themselves, proudly Puritan but disillusioned with Cromwell's government, respected and despised in Faithly in equal measure. The man for whom this unlikely gathering was organized - The Trier, the enforcer of Puritan morality for the local villages - hasn't shown up. And by the end of the night, on of those gathered around Matthew Pullan's table will be fatally poisoned. But it was something of a decent read in its better moments. I just hope the next book isn't so darned hard to get through.

The Sword of Truth is a high fantasy series that started with Wizard’s First Rule, and ended in 2007 with Confessor. After the original series, several novels have followed being mainly composed of two sequels: The Richard and Kahlan series and The Nicci Chronicles. Over time, that organization has become corrupt, and they are now nothing more than an unscrupulous band of assassins. This transpired without intervention from the leadership, b/c, as is often the case with supremely long-lived beings, the person in charge is almost completely removed from the world, trusting his younger (though still very, very old) mentees to alert him to anything warranting his attention. BUT the elder of the two mentees is clearly corrupt himself. James Cosmo as Dawson. An Old One, a fighter for The Light. Very humorous and is undercover as a farmer in the village, he originally gives the Stantons their Christmas tree. Best friend of George.
