This was a really great scene, before the reader had experienced it from Dahlia's point of view, and how she felt hated/resented by Nikolai for experiencing a vision that he wanted no one else to see. He killed my fiancé, threatened my father, the Alpha king, and destroyed my life, turning me into a pauper and a slave pet when I was born a princess. He wanted me to be his breeder and give birth to his mini Lycan babies. This is a standalone, but there's still a lot going on this world and I can't wait for more. It looks like each book in this series will be Nikolai's brothers being paired with their Omegas (and I'm eager for what will either be Nikolai's sister or Dahlia's sister's story!). The author did an amazing job of setting up her Omegaverse world, and it's clear enough that I can wholly recommend it to those new to Omegaverse. If you like sci fi romance, but haven't tried Omegaverse yet, this book would be a great place to start.Good thing, that was just a story premise. The scenes in the following chapters are thrilling and passionate. Mated To The Ruthless Alpha King is rated 18+, and I think female readers would love this book. And that makes Dahlia shiver and tingle and swoon...among other things. And you guys...it made ME shiver and tingle and swoon, too. She may be an omega in dynamic but she doesn’t allow this to define her character and refuses to be cowed and defeated. What do you think would happen when they meet again in school, right in the same class, and then she finds out who her mate truly was? Oh wow this was so good I’m blown away with how much I enjoyed this and I couldn’t put it down I was that invested.
