The Series 9 with the station is actually a good option, so depending on your budget and needs, it could be a good choice. Since the Series 5 is a foil-based razor, shaving with it will require a different technique, but in my opinion it’s even easier to use and more forgiving than most rotary shavers. It’s very important to get the basics right: your skin must be as dry as possible (you may also use a pre-shave lotion), the shaver must be perpendicular to the skin during a stroke and always go against the direction of growth with controlled, repetitive strokes. You may alter the pressure depending on how sensitive your skin is, but start off very gently. It may take a couple of weeks to get a hang of it and get the best results.

I love its design with a secured rubber grip that feels very comfortable and secure while using even with wet hands. Overall, the shaver is a smart solution for men who want advanced shaving results on a mid-range budget.

The Series 3 is a very decent, but ultimately basic electric shaver. In my opinion the Series 5 is clearly superior with regards to shaving performance and I personally would opt for it despite the higher price tag. Braun 5145s is a 3 rd generation Braun Series 5 existing model that has been altered from the Braun 5030s model. The 5030s is a 2 nd generation existing model that is not available on the market now. With the Series 9 only the first generation (dry only) shavers can be used while charging (9090cc, 9093s).Price is another factor you should be taking into account when trying to decide which Series 5 to buy.
