About this deal

But she fought like a Valkyrie. Gorgeous, ferocious, and unbreakable. I saved her so I could make her mine. She says she’ll never submit to a man. I guess we’ll see… I’ll push her to the limit. And far beyond.”

Then Papa goes into his office to have his second nightcap, while Sebastian, Nero, and I all sneak downstairs. Synopsis: “A Temptation I Couldn’t Resist… I saw her being stuffed in a trunk: Yelena Yenina, the only daughter of the most vicious Bratva boss in Chicago. The Bratva hate my family. They burned my uncle alive. I should have left Yelena to her fate…However, the two have to commit to keeping things professional. That’s partly to keep their own careers safe, but also because Holly is managing a campaign that is being threatened by a bomber. Meanwhile, the detective is noticing that there are similarities here to a case from the past that ended up burning him badly. But, no matter how he fights, Callum knows he cannot get the woman whose footprint has been inscribed in his heart out of the question, and so, eventually, he starts to do all he can to protect her from forces who would wish to do them harm. I had some high expectations for this book because so many of my friends love it and Sophie Lark in general. Brutal Prince is book 1 in the Brutal Birthright series, which is centered around this group of siblings in an Italian mafia family. It’s an enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience mafia romance between two rival mafia families, which should've been PERFECT for me. But sadly I struggled a bit with this, mainly because of the hero. I don’t give a shit what the Griffins are doing. Except that I don’t like anybody having fun without me. And was surprisingly really good! I pretty much read it in one go, loved these two, he’d pretty much met his match from the day they said “I do” game on!

Description: “The Spy” is (was supposed to be) the final installment in the epic dark mafia Kingmakers series. It’s a forbidden romance, full of mystery, betrayal, and an explosive conclusion that will give you the biggest book hangover of your life! Cold, ambitious, and brutal, Callum is determined to tame his headstrong bride. Aida is more than capable of giving as good as she gets – starting with poisoning Callum on their wedding night. Synopsis: “I loathe Alastor Shaw. The city of San Francisco thinks we’re rival artists. In truth, we’re predators battling for hunting ground. We never chased the same prey. Until the night we both laid eyes on Mara Eldritch. Shaw wants to use her as a pawn in his twisted game. I’m fixated on her for a different reason… Dante is the oldest, so he sits on my father’s right-hand side. Nero’s on the left, with Sebastian next to him. I’m at the foot of the table, where my mother would sit if she were still alive. The Gallos and the Griffins are two mafia families fighting to take control of Chicago’s underground world.honestly i'm so sad the book is over but i can’t wait to continue the series, especially nero's book 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 Luca cannot allow this woman to get the sapphire and get away. He’s the one that needs to acquire the gem. At the same time, he’s having a hard time fighting his feelings for this beautiful thief. They’re more than a match for each other, but someone’s got to win and someone’s got to lose in the end. The only question remaining is who will it be. I see his scowl illuminated by the blue and gold light. Yup, definitely the same expression he gets when he looks at me.

We pile into Nero’s car because it’s a boss ‘57 Chevy Bel Air that will be the most fun to cruise around in with the top down. You know that scene where he put his hand on her thigh and she slapped his hand away? And he continued and then she slapped him on the face and he still had the audacity to kiss her and another smut scene to come?? I know this is part of dark romance, but consent means so much to me 😭 I have read dark romance books where consent was always there and in this book, with that scene, it wasn’t really there. In the end she may have liked it but stillThe Griffins and the Gallos have been battling for control of Chicago’s underworld for generations. This was like watching a tennis match, the push and pull was my kryptonite. I thought she was more brutal than him, she got in some good ones and yeah he kind of didn’t, but I loved the giggles these two wrung out in me. I never wanted it to end! Listen, I don’t mind dark romance guys like one of my fave series is a dark romance serie, but I have a limit 😭 him doing that spa thing made me very uncomfortable and him finding it SEXY how she was drowning??? I’m sorry but no. Plus a couple of the things he said didn’t sit well with me. Once again, I know they are enemies and obviously they are going to be shitty to each other but there is a limit to what I can take and he just sprinted over the line while giving me the finger during some scenes- besides that I could not for the life of me imagine him as an attractive guy like all I saw was a blurry white face with stark blue eyes and hair thats hard bc of the amount of gel that’s in it I was so excited to read this bc enemies to lovers?? Fake marriage?? Yes please 🤭🤭 and the book started so well with such good pacing and all plus the badass- AND JEALOUSY- scenes were just🤌, but the rest was not that good

Brutal Prince is indeed a book filled with many twists and intense cliffhangers. But still not convinced it is the right book for you? Do not worry. I have selected and reviewed some chapters for you to read and enjoy! Chapter three of Brutal Prince by Sophie Lark Byron is the type to go for vengeance. He’s fallen for Lex, but how long can that last? Apparently not that long, because once Lex has done her damage and his career is ruined, and she’s broken his heart, she’s made an apparent enemy for life. The detective isn’t going to let her get away from him that easily, especially considering what she’s done. Is the first full length romance book in the'Brutal Birthright' series by author Sophie Lark. Get ready to meet Callum Griffin and Aida Gallo. Spoken in 'dual perspectives.' The relationship with the brothers made me very emotional- I literally cried 💀 bc of personal reasons I always become a mess reading about such relationships whether it is with brothers or whatever. I loved and hated those scenes at the same time but anyways we stan Sebastian bc he got two knees but only one sister jumping off a cliff right now. Aida and Callum absolutely loathe each other and every time they see each other they try to kill one another. I honestly wasn’t the biggest fan of this because of how bratty Callum acted. I was fine with Aida acting immature because she literally 18 or 19 but Callum is an actual 30 year old man who kept acting like a child. He read SO young and not at all like a hero 10 years older, one who's supposed to be the prince/heir of a powerful mafia family. He felt childish to me, which wasn't fun to read.If we forget all of that, he was okay. I loved the jealousy scenes a lot, but yea he was kinda plain idk. She made my panna cotta without raspberries because she knows I don’t like the seeds, and she doesn’t mind if I’m a spoiled brat. I grab her head and give her a kiss on the cheek as she sets it down in front of me. Authors, if you are a member of the Goodreads Author Program, you can edit information about your own books.
