As a refresher: a Martha tent is a structure geared towards growing mushrooms indoors. They require a warmer and more humid environment than most people enjoy, and it’s easier to control environmental conditions within this small structure. From 2x2.5 to 10x20, whether you need small or larger spaces, Gorilla offers you options in all these size flexibility. The Green Hut is much smaller, but still roomier than a plastic tote. It’s also very low-cost, even for its size, an important feature for people who don’t plan to sell their crop. Durable construction offers excellent value for the price. The best value tent. When you buy a grow tent, what you get is the tent and possibly some shelving. That’s not enough. You will also need to obtain, at the very least, a humidifier, and possibly also a heater, hygrometer, thermometer, timer, and lights. If you want to automate the chamber, you’ll need some sort of computer to run the whole thing. If you expect the mushrooms to start releasing spores before you harvest them, you’ll need an exhaust system, too. And you’ll need to modify the tent so that all of the above can connect to it. The Full Setup (Heater, Ventilation, Lighting, Humidifier)
Open the lid and spray mist into the tub. 3 good sprays if using vermiculite casing. 5 good sprays if just coco casing.
Your Martha tent needs a quality humidity controller.
So at this point please make sure not to spray the pins directly. Please mist into the MonoTub so the mist falls down over the pin heads. There are so many different ways to go about creating your fruiting room – here’s a few ways it can be done: Support the light with the included tent ceiling bars. The pictures show the light shining down BUT. Turning the light around so the light shines up against the tent ceiling and then reflects down will give great results. Too bright of a light will mean small mushroom fruits. Reflected light should give a mushroom height of around 5-7″. Gorilla Grow Tent is one step ahead of its competitors with all its superior features as well as offering many size options. So I grabbed the sensors and tossed the controller. Some research found a cheaper Inkbird, which is the brand used in the video. It lives outside of my tent, with the sensor dangling sweetly from an upper shelf. Let’s not make the same mistake twice, right?
Alongside the freshness and high quality of the mushrooms, you’ve got other selling points too: your mushrooms are locally grown using sustainable methods. You’ll have to add the humidity, to begin with. Unless you want to spend a lot of time squirting spray bottles, you’ll want to install a humidifier on a timer (too much humidity is also bad). Conceivably, you could put the humidifier inside the tent, but then you wouldn’t have any fresh air exchange, and the humidity levels might differ from the top to the bottom of the tent. Attaching a humidifier to the tent by two different tubes (this means cutting holes in the tent and then ceiling the holes around the tubes to prevent leakage) brings in fresh air with the humidity and ensures even humidity throughout. Some species will require additional fresh air, in which case you can just open the door and fan daily. As a bonus, Martha tents also reduce any smell your growing material or mushrooms may let off – this is usually very mild. Conclusion
