Looking at some of these reviews, it makes me sick that someone would say some vile and nasty things about a human being who had a rough life. I borrowed this book from a friend because I did not want to assist Karrine in her pursuit for riches from immoral acts.Thomas, through abuse, drugs, rape and living as a teenage runaway who turns to stripping and hip hop modeling to support herself and, later, her young son. They know they should leave but something (maybe the hope of change in their partner’s behavior, low self-esteem, fear of the unknown, etc. The book itself is horribly written - from the poor sentencing and paragraphing it was almost hard to believe the book was published this way, but i understand that the story was too juicy and scandalous to pass up. Originally published in 2005 by Amistad, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, the book was immediately a New York Times bestseller.

The book is described by its publishers as "an anthology" that consists of "a series of essays depicting regrettable sexual experiences wherein the consumption of alcohol was involved, either before, during, or after. Okay, I'm a sucker for a kiss-and-tell, but this book had way too much info that actually made me cringe and feel sorry for some of the guys that got involved with Vixen. By sharing her story, Steffans hopes to shed light on an otherwise romanticised industry and help young women avoid the same pitfalls she encountered. I loved every minute of this book and I learned valuable lessons on selflove, a deeper faith in God and never giving up despite the pain and hurt you have gone through!She doesn't even turn around in the driver's seat to make sure her husband picks the kid up off the ground. The author is essentially stuck in the same vicious cycle she was in mentally when she wrote the book that preceded this one and kicked off her writing career.

When in reality the only ones that have gained my sympathy is not Karrine or the celebs, but their wives who had to not only relive it but have it publicized and be humiliated because she's a washed up groupie who needed to find another way to make money, via this book. According to Steffans Vixen Diaries book publishers demanded she reveal names or else they’d take back all the back money she was paid.Motivated by her grandfather, later that year, she aimed for the coveted New York Times best sellers list. While we're not sure if, in fact, Method Man cheated on his wife with Wendy Williams or his wife's doctor, he's definitely a messy boots! I will admit that sometimes I start a book with a great deal of skepticism about its content and this was definitely the case with Vindicated. The only interesting feature of this book is the private/sexual profiles of the stars mentioned above.

We all were influenced by our childhood but when do we stop preaching that sob story and take responsibility for our conscious adult actions. I can't help but be impressed with all she's done before the ripe age of 30, but that's about all I can give her.She allowed herself to be sexually used by anyone with money and then when the men ran out, she wrote a tell all. You expect there to be a significant amount of growth and evolution and you expect that person to have changed their life for the better.
